The truth is that the power elite ALREADY control the planet, and have since the beginning of civilization. We like to convince ourselves that we have democracy in the USA. If we do, it is only among two groups of power elite. The rich and powerful, through the corporations, the congress, the executive branch, the courts, and the banking industry, are already firmly in control of this country and all of the others. As John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, once said, "The country should be governed by those who own it." We need to wake up alright, and see our nation for what it is and has been since its inception: a country run by and for those who own it.
